Bandipur, June 30: Inter District Football Tournament for the students’ under 14 years of age conducted by J&K Department of Youth Services and Sports concludes here today. Seven district teams participated in this tourney. The tournament proved huge success and drew in large crowds.
Two semifinals and a final was played today at sports stadia Bandipora. Budgam overplayed Bandipora with 2-1 in the first semifinal while as Ganderbal thrashed Srinagar with 2-1 in the second semifinal of the tournament. Final was played between Ganderbal and Budgam district teams and Ganderbal showing classy game thrashed Budgam with 9-8, winning the final. Closing ceremony was organized later. Chief guest on the occasion, popular educationist of the district Prince Paraviz gave away the prizes. Others who were present on the occasion include District Youth Services & Sports Officer Bandipur and office bearers of District Youth Services & Sports Office Bandipora.
