U-12 Boys, Girls Lawn Tennis C’ship commences

JAMMU, Dec 12: The much-awaited U-12 Boys and Girls Lawn Tennis Championship, organized by the J&K Lawn Tennis Association (JKLTA), commenced at the Tennis Courts of MA Stadium, here today. The championship was officially inaugurated by BS Jaggi, Honorary General Secretary of JKLTA.
In the first match, Aarav Singh dominated Ashank Puri, securing a comfortable victory and advancing to the next round with confidence. Similarly, Pavish Gupta triumphed over Harustat Singh in a closely contested match, proving his mettle and determination. Other notable wins included Ayank Jaiswal defeating Avyansh Gupta, Pranvat Singh overcoming Khushaansh Magotra, Arsh Arora defeating Bhavin Saroch, and Sharvil Mahajan emerging victorious against Aviansh Khajuria.
The championship is expected to witness more intense battles in the coming days. Meanwhile, the U-16 Lawn Tennis Championship has been rescheduled due to the unavailability of tennis courts at MA Stadium. The championship will now take place on December 29 and 30, according to officials of JKLTA.
