Two day long Athletic C’ship concludes

POONCH, Sept 2: Two day long Athletic Championship for boys organized by District Athletic Association Poonch concluded at sports stadium, here today.
In under-14, 200 meters, Maqsood Ahmed, Altaf Ahmed and Shakeel Ahmed clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 400 meters, Altaf Ahmed, Zahid Ahmed and Maqsood Ahmed emerged winners and in 600 meters, Maqsood Ahmed, Ankush Sharma and Ratik Kumar bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-16 100 meters, Asif-ul-Zabu, Tariq Ahmed and Arif Mir secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 1000 meters, Adress Ahmed, Mohammad Tariq and Asif Mir clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-18 100 meters, Mohammad Afzal, Yar Mohammad and Sajad Ahmed emerged winners, whereas in 200 meters, Mohammd Afzal, Sajad Ahmed and Gurvinder Singh bagged first, second and third positions respectively. In 800 meters, Janghit Ahmed, Javid Ahmed and Ghulam Sarvar emerged winners.
In Discus Throw, Wahid Ahmed, Wakar Ahmed and Talvinder Singh bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Shotput, Sohil Azim, Rahil Qasim and Ishtaq Ahmed clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
On the valedictory function, Nirdosh Kumar Sharma, Incharge, Sports Stadium Poonch was the chief guest, who awarded the winners.
The field and track events were officiated by Vikas Kumar, Ram Parkash, Nirdosh Kumar, Waqar Ahmed and Irfan Mehmood.
The Championship was held under the supervision of Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary, District Athletic Association Poonch.
