Training course for Chess trainers held

JAMMU, Mar 11: All India Chess Federation today kick started mega programme of Chess trainers organised virtually at All India level wherein 25 players from J&K are participating in this event.
Senior Grand Master, Arjuna Awardee and former National Champion Pravin Thipsay is being imparting training to rated players of J&K, whereas Grand Master Sriram Jha is imparting training to unrated players. Successful candidates will get official trainers certificate from AICF.
“This course will be proved useful and effective to develop Chess at grass roots level in J&K,” said Atul Kumar Gupta president All J&K Chess Association.
Senior players including Vivek Bharti, Sumit Grover, Khalid Amin, Arshid Ahmad, Mushtaq, Maxim Singh, Arvindu Sharma, Ravi Sharma and Meenal Gupta were among 25 Trainees from the J&K.
