JAMMU, May 28: Tiny Tots Hr Sec School, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), organized a vibrant event to honour the life and contributions of the revered queen, Ahilyabai Holkar. Held on the school premises, the program witnessed the participation of students, staff and community members.
Dr. Vikram Handa, Principal of Tiny Tots Hr Sec School, opened the event by highlighting Ahilyabai’s visionary leadership and dedication to justice and public welfare. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Vande Matram.
Students delivered speeches in English, Hindi and Dogri, covering various aspects of Ahilyabai’s life, including her childhood, administrative reforms, and devotion to spiritual and cultural upliftment. Poetry recitations and a compelling Nukkad Natak portrayed key moments from her life.
Raj Kumari Vats, Parmukh Mahila Sahbhagita, Bharat Vikas Parishad, praised the initiative and encouraged youth to follow Ahilyabai’s example. Gurpreet Handa and other dignitaries were also present. The event concluded with a prize distribution and the National Anthem, reinforcing a strong sense of pride in India’s heritage.
