SAMBA, Sept 9: The Govt Brig Rajinder Singh Memorial Higher Secondary School, Rahya celebrated Annual Day in a colourful function, here today.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal of the school, Jagdish Sharma presented welcome address and highlighted achievements of the school.
On the occasion, students presented cultural programmes on social themes and Dogri songs and were lauded by the public.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said that focus should be on improving communication skills of students and added that strong impetus should also be given to sports and allied activities.
The students received words of encouragement from the Deputy Commissioner and were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas.
