JAMMU, Jan 19: Tariq Hussain, a former International Foil Fencer, National Level Referee, and holder of an NIS Certificate in Fencing Coaching and Sports Psychology, has been appointed as a coach at Academy D’Armi “Agesilao Greco” in Caltagirone, Catania, Italy.
Hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Tariq is a trainee at the J&K Sports Council Fencing Training Centre at M.A Stadium, Jammu, and an active coach and referee with the Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association (JKFA). His new role at a European club is a significant achievement and underscores his international recognition in the sport.
JKFA appreciated Tariq on this milestone and wished him success in his new coaching assignment, hoping it inspires more young fencers from the region.
