Taj inaugurates Speedball Championship

RAJOURI, Sept 15: Minister for Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din inaugurated Inter-School Speedball Championship, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with J&K Speedball Association at Happy Home Public Higher Secondary School, here.
Around 100 students drawn from various schools participated in the Championship to vie for the top honours and the participating schools included Happy Home HSS, MS Rajouri, HSS Rajouri and Sun Rising Public School.
The medal winners in boys solo were Rudra Sethi, Rakesh Singh and Mohd Shadab Khan, while in Sub Junior, Akshay Kumar, Anmol Sahini and Agrim Sharma clinched medals and in Junior Category, the medals went to Mukesh Singh, Chetan Singh and Dheeraj Singh.
In Senior Category, Pall Singh, Ifraz Manhas and Sahil Sharma claimed medals, while in Men’s doubles, Jatan Dalal-Vishu Chandan and Sahil Jabar-Navneet Thakur bagged medals.
Meanwhile, in girls solo, the medal winners included Parul Sharma, Rashida Riaz, Kajal Sharma and Ishika Sharma, while in Junior Category, Sonia Singh, Tulsi Sharma, Nishtha Sethi and Nandini Dayal bagged medals and in Senior girls, Mukti Sharma, Sanskriti Vinod Kochar and Muskaan Nanda clinched medals.
SSP Rajouri, Mubassir Latifi was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Lokesh Bakshi, Principal Happy Home HSS and SHO Rajouri Virender Gupta were the guests of honour.
The prizes were distributed among the winners on the occasion.
