RAMBAN, Jan 19: District Information Center Ramban today organized a Debate competition on “Entrepreneurship Vs Government Service” at Industrial Training Institute (ITI), here.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Ramban, Dr Romesh Razdan was the chief guest on the occasion and I/c Officer ITI Sanaullah was the guest of honour.
Tahir Ahmed was adjudged overall best and Sumita Devi and Irfan Katoch bagged second and third position respectively. As many as 12 trainees were participated in debate competition and cultural programme.
Speaking on the occasion CAHO said that Entrepreneurship has emerged over the last two decades as arguably the most potent economic force the world has ever experienced. With that expansion has come a similar increase in the field of entrepreneurship education.
All the trainees and the staff of the ITI participated in the colourful event. The participants put their views with regard to the topic in an eloquent manner and highlighted the need of the hour to divert towards self employment. They enumerated that entrepreneurship not only helps in individual employment but also provides employment for the others.
Thanking DIC Ramban for organizing such an important event in his institute, Faculty member of ITI, Manmohan Bhat narrated to the participants that the best way to reduce the unemployment issue of the youth would be to take up such activities for employment generation which are marketable and economically viable.
