RAMBAN, Mar 28: District Ramban Taekwondo Championship 2025-26 concluded today at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Gool.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 80 players from various schools and clubs across district Ramban. The event was organized by the Taekwondo Association of district Ramban under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council.
In the overall medal tally, Khelo India Taekwondo Centre Gool clinched the overall championship trophy, while Government Model Higher Secondary School Ramban secured the runner-up trophy. International Delhi Public School, Gool finished as the second runner-up.
Farooq Ahmed Wani, Principal of HSS Gool, graced the occasion as the chief guest during the opening ceremony. The closing ceremony was presided over by Kuldeep Kumar, SDPO Gool, who distributed medals and mementos among the winners, participants and officials. Mehboob Mukhyar (vice president, Youth National Conference) was also present as guest of honor.
Arvind Kumar Satti attended the championship as the observer. The technical officiating panel was led by Brinder Singh Manhas, along with officials Sidharth Sharma (NR), Rakesh Kumar (NR), Jugal Kishore and Salauddin (SR).
