JAMMU, Dec 20: The first Taekkyon Heritage Series, the “Taekkyon Battlefield Competition”, was held at Junior IDRS School, Chatha, introducing students to Taekkyon, the original martial art of Taekwondo. Selected students from Army Public School Cantt, Satwari and Air Force School participated enthusiastically.
The event was graced by chief guest Vikram Singh Bhau, SDPO City, Jammu. Samandeep Singh, Managing Director of Junior IDRS, appreciated the participants, while Principal Navneet Kaur and Coordinator Kamaljeet Kaur welcomed parents and students.
According to Tournament Director Sanjay Sachdeva, the competition provided children in Jammu and Kashmir an opportunity to learn Korean martial arts, sports and culture.
