SHOPIAN, Feb 15: The T-10 Cricket Tournament for specially-abled persons, organized by the police under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), concluded today at Batapora Stadium, Shopian with a colorful closing ceremony.
The tournament, which saw six teams of specially-abled players from different regions of South Kashmir, was inaugurated by SSP Shopian Anayat Ali Chowdhary. The final match was held between Kulgam and Anantnag, where Kulgam emerged victorious by 6 wickets.
During the closing ceremony, SSP Shopian presented cash prizes and trophies to the winners and runners-up. The event was attended by DySP OPS Keller Raja Majid, DySP DAR Shopian Javaid Ahmad, SHO Police Station Shopian, and a large audience of spectators and sports enthusiasts.
The participants were praised and assured that the police would continue supporting such initiatives and organize similar events in the future to encourage and assist specially-abled individuals.
