JAMMU, Dec 21: The Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory Championships 2025 witnessed thrilling action on the second day, with young paddlers delivering impressive performances and intense contests across age categories, reflecting the rising standard of sports in the UT.
In the Under-13 Girls semifinals, Syrah defeated Ridhimi by 3-0, while Alena registered a convincing 3-0 win over Bhavini to set up a title clash. The Under-15 Girls semifinals saw Myrah edge past Alena in a nail-biting by 3-2 encounter, while Syrah overcame Srishti by 3-1, setting the stage for an exciting final between Syrah and Myrah.
In the Under-13 Boys quarterfinals, Saiyam defeated Satvik by 3-1, Samar beat Eeshan by 3-1, Aahan outplayed Akshaj by 3-2 and Advik defeated Zain by 3-0. The Under-17 Boys semifinals saw Saiyam defeat Samarth by 3-0, while Ritvik registered a 3-0 victory over Eeshan. In the Under-11 semifinals, Syrah beat Anwita by 3-0 and Aadya Sharma edged past Rithanya by 3-2.
Prominent dignitaries, including Ajay Sharma and Arshi, lauded the smooth conduct of the championship and encouraged the young athletes for their spirited performances.
