JAMMU, Oct 28: The 48th Jammu District Table Tennis Ranking Championships 2025-26 witnessed thrilling action as Syrah Dewan and Satvik Nischal emerged victorious in the Under-11 categories.
Syrah Dewan continued her dominance in the Under-11 girls’ section by defeating Rithanaya by 3-0 in the final after breezing through earlier rounds, while Satvik Nischal claimed his first title of the season in the Under-11 boys’ category with a 3-0 win over Anushthan. The tournament, which also featured senior categories, saw competitive matches throughout the day. In Women’s Round 1, Syrah defeated Aditri by 3-0, Myrah overcame Chitrani by 3-0, Alena beat Soniak by 3-0 and Kritika 3-0, Srishti triumphed over Ridhimee by 3-0 and Mishti defeated Bhavin by 3-0. In Men’s Round 1, Maanay beat Saiyam by 3-0, Satyam defeated Aman Singh by 3-0, Jasraj overcame Anubhav by 3-1, Akhilesh won against Lalit by 3-0, Akash defeated Rohit Kaith by 3-0 and Gourav beat Ayushman by 3-1. Matches were officiated by Meenu Rajesh and NIS coach Gurvinder Singh, with dignitaries Ajay Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Satbir Singh, Maninder Singh, Vasu Dewan and Narinder Singh present.
