JAMMU, Aug 24: The second day of the J&K Union Territory Table Tennis Ranking Championship saw intense competition. Syrah Dewan claimed the Under-11 Girls title with a dominant 3-0 victory over Rithanya in the final, while Akshaj Garg lifted the Under-11 Boys title by defeating Satvik by 3-0.
The day featured knockout matches across various categories, including Hopes, Cadet and Sub-Junior divisions for boys and girls. Spectators, parents, and coaches cheered as emerging players showcased attacking strokes and solid defense.
In the Under-13 girls’ quarterfinals, Syrah, Alena, Ridhimee and Bhavin advanced with convincing wins. On the boys’ side, Advik, Ahaan, Samar and Saiyam secured victories in their quarterfinal matches, all displaying strong performances.
Organized by the Table Tennis Association of J&K in collaboration with Ultimate Table Tennis and the J&K Sports Council, the event aims to rank players for upcoming national tournaments.
