Surinder, Vijay win podium in world marathon

JAMMU, Nov 7: Runner Surinder Choudhary (Superintendent of Police) and Vijay Sharma participated in ‘Daily World Marathon’ along with runners from all corners of India and abroad and won the podium in world marathon.
Surinder Choudhary (SP) won podium in 21.1 kilometres by clocking his personal best time (01:38:16 hrs) and Vijay Sharma won the same place in 42.2 kilometres by clocking his personal best time (03:22:09 hrs), while Sudhir Anand and Samvit Sharma also clocked their personal best timings of 03:57:11 and 03:57:41 in full marathon (FM) respectively.
Other participants were Sunil Dogra (FM), Raghav Sharma (HM), Kuldeep Kumar (Pacer 45 mins 10K) and Ravinder Kour (10K).
Thousands of runners from across India and abroad participated in the ‘Daily World Marathon’ on November 6 at Capitol Complex, Chandigarh, wherein eight marathon runners from Jammu also participated.
