Senior Men’s North East Camp

JAMMU, Apr 10: In a significant achievement for Jammu and Kashmir’s sports fraternity, Sunny Verma has been appointed as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Senior Men’s North East Camp at the Centre of Excellence of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The camp is scheduled to be held from April 20 to May 14, 2026, in Ranchi, highlighting the BCCI’s focus on developing cricketing talent from the North East region. The appointment was confirmed through an official communication issued by VVS Laxman, Head of Cricket at BCCI-CoE.
Sunny Verma’s selection reflects his expertise in fitness training and his contribution to the success of the Jammu and Kashmir Ranji Trophy team during the 2025-26 season, where the team emerged as national champions. His training methods significantly enhanced players’ endurance and performance.
This appointment marks a proud moment for J&K and strengthens its presence in national cricket development while positioning Verma as a key contributor to nurturing emerging talent.
