JAMMU, Mar 31: The 2nd Saheed Rifleman Anil Kumar Memorial Tournament 2025 ended in a thrilling encounter between Koudewala Kings and Sungal Cricket Club at Naiwala Akhnoor. The match, which was tied after 12 overs, was decided by a super over, where Sungal Cricket Club emerged victorious by 20 runs.
Koudewala Kings, after winning the toss, batted first and scored 90/5 in 12 overs. Sikander (30) and Laddi (33) were the top scorers. Sungal Cricket Club’s bowling was led by Shunnu, who took 3 wickets, and Ankit, who claimed 1 wicket. In response, Sungal Cricket Club also scored 90/10 in 12 overs, with Goutam (28) and Gugu (16) leading the charge. Ajay (3 wickets) and Deepu (2 wickets) were the standout bowlers for Koudewala Kings.
In the super over, Sungal Cricket Club scored 31/0, while Koudewala Kings could only manage 11/1, giving Sungal Cricket Club a 20-run victory. Goutam was declared man of the match and Man of the Series was Ajay Kumar (Shunnu).
KD Bhagat (DySP) was the chief guest while Kr Sham Singh Langeh (Zonal Head, Divyang Cricket Control Board of India) as the guest of honour. Special Guests included Deepak Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, Captain Gopal Dass, Ashwani Sharma, Mangat Ram Sharma, Sub Sohan Lal and Parshotam Singh, who distributed prizes to the players. The tournament was organized by Johny and Bashi Ram, under the overall supervision of Dharminder Sharma.
