Sunderbani XI beats Singh Cricket Club by 1 wicket

JAMMU, June 27: Sunderbani-XI trounced Singh Cricket Club (Singh CC) by one wicket and levelled the series with 1-1, being organised by Singh Cricket Club at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today.
The cricket tournament was organised under the leadership of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary JKCA District Jammu).
Singh CC won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the SCC scored 187 by losing all wickets in 25.3 overs. Sunil Benny scored 54 runs while Rahul Manni made 37 runs and Sahil Mishra and Sumit Sharma contributed 29 runs each for their team. From bowling side (Sunderbani XI) Ashu got four wickets, whereas Rocky clinched three wickets, Piyush bagged two and Harshit secured one wicket.
In reply, the Sunderbani XI chased target in 29.4 overs on the loss of nine wickets wherein Atul scored highest 78 runs, Piyush made 22 runs and Ashu and Anil contributed 18 and 17 runs respectively. For Singh Cricket Club, Sumit Sharma and Kr.Sham Singh clinched three wickets each, while Sunil Bendy got two wickets and Rajinder secured one wicket.
Ashu was declared as man of the match for his extraordinary performance with both bat and ball. Vikas Bali and Abhinandan Sharma acted as umpires and Dev Pal was scorer.
