JAMMU, Oct 11: A legend tennis player of Jammu and Kashmir Sumitpal Singh today reached quarterfinal in ongoing AITA 50000 Prize Tournament at Chamunda Tennis Academy Karnal, Haryana.
Sumitpal Singh qualified to main draw by winning 3 rounds of qualifying matches against Atish Saini by 9-1, Anuragh Misra by 9-0 and Eklavya by 9-4.
In main draw, Sumitpal defeated Hemant Kumar by 6-2 and 6-1 and today in pre-quarter, Sumitpal defeated Yashvardhan Singh in a three setter match by score of 6-3, 3-6 and 6-3.
