JAMMU, June 28: Subroto Cup Football Tournament for U-14 boys, organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) commenced at GGM Science College ground, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region AS Gill, who was chief guest on the occasion, in presence of Football coach Satpal Singh, Principal GGM Science College Ajit Angral, Incharge Principal, KV No 2 Jammu Cantt, Reeta Bhaskar, senior teacher of the Vidyalaya, officials and coaches of the tournament.
On the occasion, a cultural programme was presented by the students of KV No 2, Jammu Cantt.
A total of 9 teams from different vidyalayas with 162 players and two coaches were also present on the occasion.
The first match was played between KV No 2 Pathankot and KV No 2 Jammu Cantt, in which latter emerged winner, whereas in the second match, KV No 1 Srinagar registered win over KV No 4 Jalandhar, in the third match, KV No 2 Udhampur emerged winner by thrashing KV Miran Sahib, in the fourth match, KV No 2 Srinagar thrashed KV Nagrota and emerged winner.
