JAMMU, June 29: The Hockey Jammu and Kashmir Sub-Junior Women’s team today departed from Jammu to participate in the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship, to be held in Ranchi, Jharkhand from July 3 to 13.
As per statement the team was selected after a screening conducted by the J&K Sports Council on June 28, overseen by Ajay Gupta (Manager, K.K. Hakku Stadium), Joginder Kumar, Jagjeet Singh (Hockey Coaches), Tejinder Singh (Secretary, Hockey J&K), Robin Singh (Executive Member, Hockey J&K), Charanjit Singh (Retired Chief Coach, J&K Police) and Anjali Thakur (Khelo India Mentor).
The squad includes: Divya Sharma (GK), Rajanyaveer Kour Panday (GK), Simran, Saloni, Arzoo Koser, Asma Shaheen, Haiqa Banday, Vanshika Devi, Prachi, Maniksha Devi, Shivani Kumari, Simranjot Kour, Akshra Dutta, Nazia Koser, Anish Khursheed, Akshita Gupta, Lakshita Devi and Maryam Farooq.
Sahil Sharma is accompanying the team as Coach and Geeta Kumari as Manager. The team was flagged off by Amarjeet Singh Nagyal (Vice President, Hockey J&K), Jasvinder Kour, Robin Singh, Charanjit Singh and Anjali Thakur.
