SRINAGAR, Sept 15: An educational-cum-motivational tour was flagged off by Army’s 2 RR from Zainkote area of Srinagar city here today.
The tour was flagged off by Commanding Officer (CO 2RR), under the aegis of 10 sector.
The tour was aimed at exposing students to various cultural, historical and allied famous places, besides interacting them with the top Army officials at Military Academy center in Dehradun to witness training of cadets.
According to the organizers, during the 15 days tour, students will also visit various reputed industries and scientific laboratories during their visit.
“The journey would bring new experiences to the students as they will visit New Delhi, Chandigarh and Dehradun to witness historical sites and places. The trip would provide them an opportunity to visit various parts of the country and understand the culture of people living in other states,” said an Army Officer.
All the parents of the students appreciated Army’s 2 RR for organizing the tour, saying that besides performing security related duties; Army has also been over the years initiating people friendly welfare measures including organizing educational tours for the students living in far-off areas of the state.
