Stifen, Shivansh help Little Flower School to lift Under 14 Cricket Tournament title

JAMMU, June 29: Magnificent batting performance by Stifen and Shivansh helped Little Flower High School to crush Pacca Danga Warriors in the summit clash by a huge margin of 73 runs and to lift the title trophy of Under 14 Cricket Tournament, organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Akhnoor, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Little Flower School made 161 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Stifen played a superb inning of 70 runs off 40 balls, while Shivansh also chipped in some crispy shots and made half century in 38 balls and remained not out. Nitish scored 12 runs off 9 balls.
From Pacca Danga Warriors side, Aniket and Paamil shared 1 wicket each.
In the second inning, Pacca Danga Warriors failed to chase the target and collapsed at 88 runs for all out in 12.2 overs. Monu was the top scorer with 24 runs in 22 balls, while Shubham and Mannu made 18 and 14 runs respectively.
From Little Flower School side, Nanit, Nitish and Yuvraj took 2 wickets each, while Stifen scalped 1 wicket.
Stifen of Little Flower School was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Deepak Mangotra and Vinod Mangotra as umpires, while Ashwani Mangotra acted as scorer.
On the valedictory function, Joginder Mangotra, Convener Akhnoor Tehsil Cricket Committee was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the players in presence of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor, Babu Ram, Vinod Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Sanjay Kumar, Abitash, Vikas Bali, Pankaj, etc.
