JAMMU, Sept 29: 9-member Jammu and Kashmir State team left for Sub Junior and Junior National Silambam Championship to be held at Nasik in Maharashtra from October 2 to October 4.
In Under-14 boys, Abhijeet, Mohit and Pranav will participate in 35 kg, 35 to 40 kg, 41 to 50 kg and 51 to 60 kg weight categories respectively, while in Under-14 girls, Bhumika, Gurleen, Bhawna and Kumakshi will be participating in 30 to 35 kg, 36 to 40 kg, 41 to 45 kg and veil veechu respectively.
Youdhvir and Dheeraj will take part in Sarul veil and veil veechu in Under-17 boys category respectively.
MLA Sat Sharma, president of J&K Silambam Association and Rohit Sadhotra, general secretary of the Association were present during flag off ceremony.
