JAMMU, Mar 21: Two days J&K State Judo Championship, being organized by J&K Judo Association, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council & J&K Olympic Association got underway at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary J&K Olympic Assoc-iation and Chairman Affiliation Committee of IOA was the Chief Guest on the occasion who inaugurated the Championship, while RC Thakur and Varinder Dogra were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Abdul Hamid Khan, Rameshwar Singh, Suraj Sharma, Rohit Sadotra and Munish Chatwal. The Champio-nship is being organized under the chairmanship of Vikas Gupta.
About 200 Judokas from all over State participated in the Championship.
Today’s results: Boys: 20 Kg: Aman (gold), Aadvik (silver), Atyksh & Bridvik (bronze).
25 Kg: Anish Bhat (gold), Ayush Koul (silver), Udheyvir & Bhanu (bronze).
30 Kg: Swyam Ganjoo (gold), Veer Vansh (silver), Rishat & Akshit Gandhi (bronze).
+35 Kg: Shivam (gold), Rakshit (silver), Ravis & Rohan (bronze).
Girls: 20 Kg: 1 Ridhi Bhagat (gold), Mehak Koul (silver), Meena and Sonam (bronze).
25 Kg: Haniskha (gold), Priksha Kow (silver), Lavanya & Koul (bronze).
30 Kg: Akshita (gold), Mannat Ganjoo (silver), Aruhi & Sanya (bronze).
+35 Kg: Shikha (gold), Aruchi (silver), Ridma & Sandya (bronze).
