POONCH, Dec 1: In order to promote sports activities in the district, JS Johar, SSP Poonch inaugurated four days sport events in a colorful function at District Police Lines, here today.
During the event, eight Police teams namely Poonch Panthers, DPL Warriors, SOG Fighters, Loran Legends, Mandi Knights, Surankote Blasters, Gursai Devils and Mendhar Tigers participated in the event.
All the teams shall fight for the championship trophy which will be decided on points basis among winner, runners-up and 3rd place teams in the events of football, volleyball, kabaddi and cricket.
Other events included painting competition for kids of Police Personnel and Tug of War in male/female categories, while the other games included badminton (Single/Double), table tennis and Chess.
In kabaddi, Poonch Panthers defeated SOG Fighter by one point (20-19), while Mandi Knights got beter of Surankote Blasters by (38-20) and DPL Warriors prevailed over Loran Legends by (37-30).
