KATRA, Dec 13: Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), Reasi successfully concluded the U-17 Inter-District UT Level Softball Tournament at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra, witnessing enthusiastic participation and high-quality competition from across the Union Territory.
The tournament was conducted under the overall supervision of Kuldeep Raj, Activity Incharge, Youth Services & Sports, Reasi. The trophy was presented to the winning team by a senior official of the Youth Services & Sports, Reasi during the closing ceremony.
The final match, played between District Srinagar and District Jammu, turned out to be a thrilling encounter. Displaying excellent teamwork and discipline, District Srinagar defeated District Jammu by 8 runs to lift the championship trophy.
The matches were officiated by the experts Opinderpal Singh, Madan Mohan, Rakesh Singh, SS Sodhi, Dheeraj Singh, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Naina, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Vikas Singh, Asheesh Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Ankush Sharma, Rohan Sharma, Mohd Raqeeb, Mohd Arif and Rohan Sharma.
Others present on the occasion were Devinder Kour, Saroj Bala, Jagdev Singh, Arun Dev Singh, Vikas Verma, Jaswant Singh, Mohd Raiz, Ankush Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Ajay Kuma, Vikas Verma, Balbir Singh and Tahir Bilal.
