JAMMU, Dec 10: Srijan International School, Jammu, organised an Inter-School competition “Wings of Joy”, today. This year’s theme, “Euphoria,” filled the campus with imagination, colours, and energy. Over 17 reputed schools from across Jammu participated, making the event a grand showcase of talent.
The celebrations were graced by distinguished guests Rekha Mahajan (Vice President BJP J&K), Sohail Kazmi (Senior Journalist), Ajeet Singh (Managing Director, DRS Kids) and Deepali Handa (Educationist & Entrepreneur). The panel of judges included Dr Chetna Mahajan, Dr Deepika Chawla and Poonam Malhotra. The event commenced with a welcome address by Ankita Choudhary, Administrative Officer.
In the Fancy Dress competition, Narayani Rajput (Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua) won first place, followed by Oshin (IDPS) and Brinda Choudhary (Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu). Shaerisa Singh (APS Kaluchak) and Ashneer Kour (Chalk & Crayon) received consolation awards. The LKG Show & Tell saw Burhan Nissar (Doon Kids, Bathindi) take first, Maheen (Jodhamal Public School) second and Sanshika Sharma (Kidzee Raya) third, while Avneet Kour (Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu) received a consolation award.
The Dance competition was won by Adhvika, Advit, Miraya, Guntaz, Nabeeha, Samaisha and Birsaaz (Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu). Second prizes went to Aavika Sharma, Amyra Khajuria, Koshika Thakur, Bhavneet Kour, Huma, Hargun (Carmel Convent School) and Anvesha Gupta, Mahira Bhardwaj, Adamya, Ameshika (Srijan International School, Jammu).
Third place was shared by Chahat Kumari, Amiksha Bhagat, Debika Sharma, Kritika Bhutiyal, Advika Malla, Anaya Manhas, Rehanshikha (IDPS Jammu) and Avni Kotwal, Nihashvi Bhagat, Divyansh Bhatia, Alice, Seerat Kour, Samreet Kour, Narwatpreet Kour (Jodhamal Public School). Consolation awards went to Meeharvi Sharma, Yashasvi Rana, Inaaya Gupta, Aaira Sharma, Ursheen Kaur, and Ridhi Bhat (Heritage School).
In Painting, Sargun Prashar (Srijan International School, Jammu) won first, followed by Ridhaan Raina (IDPS) and Yuvraj Farlia (St. Peter’s School), while Arushi Saini (Vishwabharti Hr. Sec. School) and Vihaan Mainga (Heritage School) received consolation awards. In Poem Recitation, Kiara (Kidzee Elementary Rahya) secured first place, Tavgun Kour (APS Kaluchak) second, Darsh Bhat (Vishwabharti Hr. Sec. School) third, and Vidyut Manhas (Srijan International School, Jammu) received a consolation award.
Vice Principal Kiranjit Kaur praised all participants, teachers and schools for fostering creativity, confidence, and healthy competition.
