Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Gold Cup Football

JAMMU, Mar 3: Param Football Club and Sports Saviours registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Tournament, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, under the aegis of All India Football Federation (AIFF) at Mini Stadium Parade, here.
In the first match played today, Param Football Club defeated District Football Association (DFA) Udhampur in an easy contest by two goals to nil (2-0). Sourav scored both the goals for the winners in 14th and 35th minutes of the match.
In another match, Sports Saviours trounced Engineers XI by two goals to nil (2-0). Rohil was the goal scorer for Sports Saviours who netted the goals in 24th and 65th minutes of the match.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts including Dheeraj Menia, Rocky, Ricky Mehra and Vijay, while Football promoter Rakesh Khanna is the Organising Secretary of the Tournament.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan in an impressive and colourful function at the same venue yesterday.
