Sports Council finalizes State Fencing teams for Nationals

Jammu, Dec 18: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has finalized the state fencing teams for upcoming Senior and Junior National Championships scheduled to be held at Solapur (Maharashtra) and Begnaluru (Karnataka) respectively.
The teams were finalized today after the screening was conducted at Maulana Azad Stadium here.
The senior team will take part in the Senior National Championship to be held at Solapur (Maharashtra) from December 23 to 26, 2017 while the junior team will leave for Bengluru to participate in Junior National Championship to be held from January 9 to 12.
Joint Secretary State Sport Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, Chief Sports Officer Abdul Qayum, Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh and member Sports Council Krupali Singh were present at the screening.
Meanwhile International fencer and Coach, State Sports Council, Rachna Jamwal, fencing instructor, Shotu Lal Sharma, Shreiya Chib, Harpreet Kour and Ajay Khartol will accompany the teams as coaches and managers.
