JAMMU, Sept 8: The seeded players including Sohail Khalid, Nikhil Kapahi, Vidit Gawri, Abhishek Pathania, Vishal Abrol and Sourav Dogra sealed berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Jammu District Senior Snooker Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
In the first pre-quarterfinal match played today, Vidit defeated Avish Sharma 3-0; Sourav trounced Abhishek Goswami 3-0; Nikhil outplayed Monty 3-0; Abhishek drubbed Rohit Sharma 3-0; Vishal outclassed Ansh Chopra 3-0 and Sohail got the better of Amandeep Singh 3-1.
Earlier, in other matches, Indpal Singh beat Pankaj 3-1; Ishan Choudhary defeated Gagandeep Singh 3-0, Rohit prevailed over Mandeep Singh 3-2 and Ishuk Choudhary outplayed Kuldeep Singh 3-0.
