JAMMU, Apr 15: Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor U-14 secured a thrilling 3-wicket win over Green Field Champs Jammu in the second match of a three match series at Govt Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, here today. This victory sealed the series for Singh Cricket Club with a 2-0 lead.
Green Field Champs Jammu, after winning the toss and opting to bat, scored 161/3 in their 25 overs. Top scorers included Chaitanya Dogra (59), Gartik (35) and Rajveer Singh (22). Raghav Verma and Goutam Matto claimed a wicket each for Singh Cricket Club.
In response, Singh Cricket Club chased down the target with 165/7 in 24.4 overs. Akash was the standout performer with an impressive 85 runs, while Yuvraj, Manyu and Rohit Singh contributed win 16, 19 & 16 runs respectively. Ridham Sharma took 2 wickets for Green Field Champs. Akash Jamwal was named Man of the Match for his brilliant knock. The series is organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh, President of the Club.
