Shubham of Samba claims gold in U-14 boys discus throw

JAMMU, Nov 1: Shubam Kumar of District Samba claimed gold in Under-14 boys discus throw on the 2nd day of ongoing Divisional Level Inter District Athletic Meet at Athletic ground University of Jammu, here.
Rohit Kumar of Jammu bagged silver in this event, while Tariq of Reasi clinched bronze.
In the prize distribution function on day two, Ranjeet Kalra, Chairman JKCA Media Committee distributed certificates and medals among the athletes and advised them to take yoga for better results.
The athletic meet is being organized under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi and Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO Udhampur.
