JAMMU, Oct 22: Shreya, Shahrukh, Jhanvi, Sandeep and Ritvik claimed title trophies in the 1st Police Martyrs Table Tennis Championship-2012 organised by the J&K Police in Association with J&K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone Dilbag Singh was the chief guest in the concluding function who gave away prizes among the winners and runners-up players of the tournament.
Prominent among those present on the valedictory function were SSP Jammu Prabhat Singh, SP Headquarters Shalinder Singh, Sidharth Sharma, Joint Secretary, Sports Council, Ajay Sharma, General Secretary, J&K TT Association, Sudhir Kumar, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association, Sunil Sharma, Rajan Sharma and others.

Men’s section : Sandeep beat Vishal Ghai (6-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-7). Semifinals: Sandeep beat Vasu Dewan (11-09, 09-11,11-09,11-09) and Vishal beat Jayesh (12-10,08-11,14-12 and 11-09).
Women’s section: Jhanvi beat Amrit (9-11,11-09, 09-11,11-09,11-09). Semifinals: Jhanvi beat Shzar (08-11,08-11,11-09,11-09,11-09) and Amrita beat Shurbi (07-11,13-11, 08-11,13-11,11-09).
