MENDHAR, Mar 19: Outplaying Pappu Club by (3-2) sets in the summit clash, Shaheed Liaqat Ali Club lifted the title trophy of the volleyball tournament, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) 6th Battalion at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
Principal Government BHSS, Mendhar was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Commandant 6th Battalion, P K Sharma, SP was the guest of honour. The chief guest and the guest of honour distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
The dignitaries also presented best media coverage award to Daily Excelsior Reporter, MS Nazki on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma emphasized the importance of games and sports in the one’s life and said that sports and games help in developing various skills.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were SDPO Mendhar, Surinder Choudhary and chief organizer, Mehmood Ahmed Qadari.
