KISHTWAR, Dec 27: The final match of the 5th edition of Shaheed Aman Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament was played with sporting fervour at the historic Chowgan Ground, marking the successful conclusion of the prestigious tournament which commenced on October 1.
The closing ceremony and final match were graced by the presence of SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma and Commanding Officer, 07 Assam Rifles, Vikrant Gupta.
The final match was contested between Zafroon Pochal and Bhaderkashi, wherein Zafroon Pochal emerged victorious by 4 wickets. The tournament witnessed record-breaking participation, with 144 teams from different parts of Kishtwar, Ramban and Doda districts. A total of 116 matches were played.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kishtwar paid rich tribute to Shaheed DySP Aman, stating that the Tournament is dedicated to the supreme sacrifice of the brave martyr and all fallen heroes who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The final match and closing ceremony were also witnessed by senior officers of the Army, Additional SP Kishtwar Pardeep Singh Goria, Additional SP PC Kishtwar Nisar Khoja, Deputy SP Headquarters Kishtwar, Deputy SP PC Kishtwar, besides other officers of the Police and Civil Administration.
The tournament concluded with prize distribution among winner and runners-up team.
