JAMMU, Nov 27: A Seminar on Innovation in Education was organized by UCMAS Abacus at its Greater Kailash Center, here.
The Seminar was a part of “visit to an innovative center in education” conducted for students of B.ed programme of Chenab College of Education, Langer.
The participants were updated about Research done by Prof Michael C Frank (Stanford University) & David Barner (University of California San Diego) on Student perusing UCMAS Abacus course & the results of such innovation in education sector.
The seminar was conducted by regional Director of UCMAS J&K, Rupesh, accompanied by Tanuj Dogra and Shallu Dogra, Franchisee of UCMAS Greater Kailash Center.
Benefit of Mental Arithmetic Programme for performing rapid and precise arithmetic by manipulating a mental representation of ABACUS were discussed.
The students were informed about the teacher training which is imparted as per the global standard & the ucmas abacus training institute in Jammu, which has international recognition & affiliated to NAEYC USA-National Association for the education of Young Children, ACIE USA -Association for Childhood Education International & Member: WAAMA The World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic. All present were provided with reference guide & audio visual presentation.
The B.Ed students who participated were Gurvinder Kour, Bimmi Boagia, Shallu Thapa, Monika, Shivalika, Urvashi, Sonia Choudhary, Harkamal, Sonia Jamwal, Vandita, Shilpa, Ritesh, Chanchal, Monika, Meenu, Kanchan, Mukti, Vandana, Rekha, Ramika, Jyoti, Anjali, Shweta, Reena, Sanjeet, Parvinder, Rupali and Deep Rani.
