SRINAGAR, Aug 10: As per a handout issued by the J&K Ball Badminton Association, selection trials for Senior National Ball Badminton Team 2025-26 were conducted at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar. The trials were held in preparation for the 71st Senior National Ball Badminton Championship for Men and Women, scheduled to be held at Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, from September 25 to 28.
The trials took place under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council, with Shabir Ahmad (Manager, Sports Stadium Budgam) acting as observer and Dilbagh Singh (Manager, Gindun Sports Stadium) overseeing arrangements. The selection committee comprised Arsheena Malik (General Secretary, JKBBA & Vice President, Ball Badminton Federation of India), Mohsin Farooq (Vice President, JKBBA), and Zahid Mustafa Bhat (Member, JKBBA).
After a detailed evaluation process, 15 men and 15 women were shortlisted from 20 participants in each category. These selected players will undergo a 21-day residential coaching camp, after which the final squad of 10 men and 10 women will be announced.
As per the handout, individuals wishing to raise objections must contact the Selection Committee at 9682365877 within seven days, mentioning name, address, contact, and nature of objection.
