SRINAGAR, Apr 9: The Pencak Silat Association of J&K will conduct open selection trials for men and women, aged 17 to 45 years, in preparation for the 13th edition of the Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2025-26. The championship is scheduled to take place from May 9 to 12, at KD Babu Singh Indoor Stadium, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The organisers said players interested in participating must bring a valid ID proof, recommendations from their district head, a parent declaration, a medical and health certificate, an insurance certificate and two passport-sized photographs. Once all necessary documents are submitted, players will be eligible for the selection trials. District Pencak Silat Associations are advised to confirm their entries for both men and women in the senior events.
They also said no boarding, lodging or transportation will be provided during the trials. Selected athletes will undergo screening by the J&K Sports Council on April 21 followed by a 21-day coaching camp in Srinagar.
