JAMMU, Oct 4: The Jammu district administration is organizing School Olympics at different venues in Jammu city from October 13.
The administration has uploaded the list of participants for the forthcoming School Olympics at the official NIC website—www.jammu.gov.in enabling all the participating schools to verify it by or before October 5, 2016. The final draws and fixtures will be declared by the Organizing Committee on October 6.
According to Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, the events of Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Basketwall will be held in MA Stadium while as the Indoor Sports Complexes at Police Lines and Jammu University will host the Badminton Tournament.
Hockey will be held in K K Hakku Stadium whereas Football will be held at Science College grounds. The Mega Athletics event will be held at Paloura.
The opening ceremony will be held at MA Stadium on October 13 and closing ceremony at Paloura on October 21.
It is pertinent to mention here that nearly 140 Government and private schools are likely to participate in this district level sports meet.
