JAMMU, Apr 8: Surinder Cricket Club (SCC) emerged victorious in the KPL 22, clinching the title at the KC Sports Club Ground, here today. Batting first, Sharda Cricket Club (SCC) was dismissed for a modest total of 123 runs in 19.4 overs. Manmohan (38 runs) and Sunil Dutt (36 runs) were the key contributors with the bat for Sharda. On the bowling side, Provin Bhat and Vijay Dhar impressed, each picking up three wickets and keeping the scoring under control.
In reply, Surinder Cricket Club successfully chased down the target in 18.3 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. Dushyant Koul (31 runs) and Rohit Ambardar (29 runs) led the chase, steadying the innings. Rakesh Koul was the standout bowler for Sharda, taking four crucial wickets to keep his team in the game.
Provin Bhat was named the Man of the Match for his all-round performance, while Sunil Dutt was awarded the Man of the Series. Other tournament accolades included Nitu as the Best Batsman, Vikas Pandita as the Best Bowler, and Saksham Koul as the emerging player.
The tournament was organized by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul in association with KC Sports Club Jammu. The event was graced by Captain Maharaj Krishan Jotshi and other dignitaries.
