Saurashtra to take on Punjab in Ranji semi final today

Rajkot, Jan 15:
Saurashtra are all set to face formidable Punjab, without their star players Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja, when they will clash each other tomorrow in the semi-final of Ranji Trophy at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Khaderi, on the outskirts of the city.
Both Pujara and Jadeja are on the natiional duty for the ongoing One-day International matches against England.
Youngsters such as Arpeet Vasavada, Kamlesh Makwana and S P Jackson did well in the league and quarter final matches and are expected to do well tomorrow as well in a crucial match against Punjab here, said Saurashtra captain Jaydev Shah while talking to mediapersons here today, after the net session.
He further said ‘The Team will do hard work and hope we would make it through.’ (PTI)
Punjab, who dominated from the beginning in the league matches and are on top of the points table, are in good form.
‘We are not taking this match lightly,’ Punjab skipper Harbhajan Singh told mediapersons here today.
‘Our batsmen will have to perform well here on a placid wicket,’ he said.
