JAMMU, Feb 12: Sarvodaya Public School organised Annual Sports Meet in the School premises here today.
School Trustee Subash Chander Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries, which was followed by a variety of sports activities.
The students showcased their skill in Kabaddi, 100 & 200 meters races, Taekwondo, Badminton and Tug of War, besides minor games like three leg race, balloon busting, garland making and lemon race.
The meritorious students were felicitated by the chief guest with medals.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest threw light on the importance of sports and games and said that apart from physical fitness, sports help in building character and developing team spirit, besides inculcating discipline.
