Sarthak scores gritty 68 runs in Academy’s win

JAMMU, May 5: Sarthak Peshin scored a quick-fire 68 runs to guide RN Chopra Cricket Academy to a thrilling 3-run win over GD Goenka Public School in the tri-series match at Academy Ground, here today.
Batting first, Academy scored 168 runs in 25 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sarthak was the top scorer with gritty 68 runs, in which he struck all the shots with fluid grace and utter brilliance. Aryaman Jasrotia and Ayush Slathia also contributed 13 and 11 runs to the total respectively. Sourav Saini took 3 wickets for GD Goenka, while Shivam Rohmetra bagged two.
In reply, GD Goenka fell short of just 3 runs, scoring 165 runs in the stipulated overs to lose the match by the same margin. Agreney Happa (45), Yusuf Mugal (38) and Hritik Raina (30) were the main contributors. For Chopra Academy, Aditya Chib took 3 wickets, while Vignesh, Ayush Lakha and Ayush Slathia bagged 2 wickets each. Sarthak was declared man of the match for his brilliant knock.
