Samyak lifts U-13 Boys Chess C’ship title

JAMMU, Aug 20: Young chess talent Samyak Jain emerged champion in the Under-13 Boys Chess Championship 2025, which concluded here today.
Jain secured the top position after a series of competitive rounds, leaving his mark among the upcoming players of the Union Territory.
Vaibhav Dwedi finished runner-up, while Aadil Johnson claimed the third spot. Promising player Pazhany Kohli, who recently figured prominently in the senior state championship, stood fourth.
The championship was organized by the All J&K Chess Association under the banner of the J&K Sports Council. Divisional Sports Officer of the Council, Satpal Singh, graced the occasion as chief guest.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Ritish Pathania, who officiated as Arbiter for the event. Organizers said that such age-group competitions are aimed at grooming budding players and preparing them for national-level events.
