1st Jammu Gold Cup Football tourney

JAMMU, Jan 24: Two exciting matches were played on Day 2 of the ongoing 1st Jammu Gold Cup Football Tournament-2026 at Mini Stadium, Parade, here today. National women football player Meetu Singh was the chief guest for the first match.
In the opening match, Sainik Colony FC defeated Jammu Sports convincingly by 6-2. Sainik Colony FC goals came in the 19th, 33rd, 40th, 58th, 63rd and 65th minutes, while Jammu Sports scored in the 13th and 67th minutes. The match was officiated by referee Ricky Karthik, assisted by Abhishek and Rocky.
In the second match, Young Rovers FC defeated J&K Bank Academy by 2-0. Anmol opened the scoring in the 19th minute, followed by Mustafa’s goal in the 45th minute. National Judo player Balvir Singh was the chief guest for the match.
The second match referees were Bilal Ahmad, Kartik Sharma, Ramesh Kumar and Risky Kumar. Tomorrow’s fixtures include SCFA vs Nagrota FC, Pegasus FC vs Shaheen FC and Churchill Brothers vs Sainik Colony FC.
