JAMMU, Mar 13: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre Jammu, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, will conduct induction trials for admission to its Sports Training Centre (STC) in multiple disciplines at the M A Stadium, Jammu on March 16 and 18.
According to officials, the trials will be held for volleyball, basketball, badminton and wushu under residential and non-residential schemes. Volleyball and basketball (boys) will be conducted under the residential category, while Basketball (girls), Badminton (boys and girls) and Wushu (boys and girls) will be held under the non-residential category. All trials will begin at 9:00 am and candidates are required to report at the venue at the scheduled time.
Aspiring athletes between 12 and 18 years of age who have represented their district, state or country and secured first, second or third positions in recognized championships are eligible to participate in the trials.
Participants must bring original as well as photocopies of their date of birth certificate, Aadhaar card, residential proof, four passport-size photographs and relevant sports achievement certificates for verification. Officials clarified that no TA/DA or boarding and lodging facilities will be provided to candidates during the trials.
