JAMMU, Apr 20: To promote the Fit India Movement, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) STC Jammu, in collaboration with NSS volunteers of MAM College, organised a ‘Sunday Cycling’ event today.
The rally started from MA Stadium and concluded at Jammu University. Prof Dheeraj Kumar of MAM College led the NSS volunteers, cyclists along side SAI athletes, coaches and staff.
Aman Sharma, High Performance Director and Incharge STC Jammu, highlighted the importance of fitness and thanked MAM College for their support. Prof Dheeraj also appreciated the collaboration.
The event aimed to encourage a healthy, active lifestyle and spread awareness about combating obesity and sedentary habits. Over 60 cyclists participated in Jammu, while a similar event at the SAI Extension Centre Srinagar saw 30 participants.
