Safran CC wins Chillay Kallan Premier League with 70 runs

JAMMU, Feb 2: Safran Cricket Club (SCC) emerged victorious in the Chillay Kallan Premier League final, defeating Mahadev Warriors Club (MWC) by 70 runs at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota.
Batting first, Safran CC posted a competitive total of 191/9 in 20 overs. Raman Kotwal played a key role, top-scoring with 63 runs off 40 balls. Skipper Sarthak Khoda contributed 26 runs, while Lazit and Lakshya added 25 and 21 runs, respectively. For MWC, Yougesh was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets, while Dilshant and Vikram Shah claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Mahadev Warriors Club was unable to chase down the target and could only manage 121/9 in 20 overs. Manoj top-scored for MWC with 36 runs. Rohit Sharma of Safran CC was the star with the ball, picking up 4 crucial wickets. Sarthak Khoda, Agastya, Nihal, and Saqib also contributed with one wicket each, ensuring a dominant win for Safran CC.
Rohit Sharma was named the man of the series and best bowler, while Pradeep Singh from Bullet 11 won the Best Batsman of the Tournament award. The tournament was successfully organized by Sarthak Khoda and Vikrant Sharma, in association with Safran CC and Country Cricket Club.
